It's still Monday! 11:00pm my time, but hey, whatever.
I got sick last week. Again. Last year and this year have not been good for me and sickness. What I think is going to be an annoying head cold turns out to be upper respiratory virus from hell that lands me on the couch for 2 or 3 days then several weeks or months of recovering while a really annoying cough lingers. Hopefully this time it doesn't turn into pneumonia. Whee.
At the end of the week, I was feeling kind of ok, but not really in a go get 'em skiing mood so we decided to take X up with us and I would spend most of my time on the magic carpet tiny bunny hill with him while S skied. It started out a little dicey. X wanted to go in for lunch after less than an hour of skiing and was whiny when it came to his boots. I took him to the mostly empty lodge at 10:30 in search of lunch and let him take off the boots. At lunch we made a deal. He would do at least two more runs before calling it a day. At which point, I was going to have to scramble to find something else to do while S skied. With the boots on a looser setting, he happily told me to go down the hill so he could ski to me several times (more than 2!) until S was ready for a break at 12:30pm. I took off and squeezed in a few easy runs.
We dragged X off the mountain at 2:00pm.

Hope you are feeling better now. Lingering coughs are tiresome.

With luck you are on the mend. But hey... did you send that cold my way because I am smothered with a bad cold at the moment!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the skiing was fun, even if you were off the hill a bit early. Regardless, I am sure it was a good day!
Prednisone can be magical. Crap on the body - but miraculous to breathe.
ReplyDeleteI've got Dulera for working out. Try not to take it much tho. :/
DeleteFun ski trip! Hope you're feeling better now.
ReplyDeleteAny day where you can suck it up and have fun with the kids is a good day!
