Happy ICLW

Welcome to my blog!

A quick rundown on things around here.  Last June we brought home Baby X through private domestic adoption.  We have an open adoption with his first-mom, but have never, and will never know his first-dad.  That will be a topic for discussion in the future, as Baby X grows up and we tell him his story.  All adoption stories are fraught with difficulties, and ours is no exception. We hope that in developing a relationship with C, Baby X will come to understand her side of the story.

Lately, I've been adjusting (if you can call it that) to being a full-time engineer, mom, and wife.  It's a ridiculous amount of stress, but I hear it gets better.

To read my history, click on the "My Story" tab.  If you want to read my ramblings about Baby X, click on the "All Things Baby X" tab.  I try to keep my main posts relevant to both the parenting, and not-quite parenting community and not fill them with all things baby.  Sometimes it works, other times, not so much.  It's all part of the evolution of my blog.

Enjoy!

  6. iclw #60. As a full time engineer, mom, and wife myself -- yes, it does get easier. Eventually the baby doesn't have such immediate, demanding needs and you can get a rhythm going (somewhat) in your overall life balance.
