That adoption movie and that book series

J.uno.  I just got asked about it.  Personally we didn't see it until we felt like we could handle it so it was quite a while after it was out on DVD.  I thought it was hilarious.  I also thought it did a good job of pointing out that some couples are torn apart by infertility/adoption.  On the other hand, it's a movie so I tried not to get too worked up about how easily she appeared to go back to her high school life.  I doubt that's the case even for a wisecracking sarcastic 16-year old.

WTF with Ne.w Mo.on?  Please tell me the third book is better.  I liked 2/3 of this book but I've freakin' had it with the melodrama "can't live w/o some kind of man/were.wolf/vam.pire in my life" b.s.  If the next book is all about her whining and begging to become a va.mpire I don't think I'm going to make it.  Don't get me wrong, I love drama and I love Romeo and Juliet stories (well, that have a happy ending) but this is getting out of hand.  I hate that this author makes her heroine a complete doormat when it comes to the men in her life.

btw.  I'm totally Team Edward.  I think vam.pires are way sexier than werew.olves  :p

  1. I thought Juno was "meh". I thought the tension between the couple was nicely portrayed (as nice as that can be portrayed). I think that is very important for people to see.

New Moon (IMO) is the worst of the series. It D-R-A-G-S on. Bella's constant whining (the never ending hole in the chest reference) made me want to punch her square in the face! I am totally Team Jacob. Lol! Eclipse (next in the series) is the best in the series IMO. It's funny. I found myself actually laughing out loud! You just have to make it through New Moon! :-)
