I wasn't going to talk much about this, but, this space is partially my diary after all...
Our agency is not accepting applications.
When we finalized, we thought we'd wait until spring when things slowed down a bit to jump back into the pool. Since we'd be looking at about a 2 year wait again, we thought the timing would be good.
I checked with our caseworker a couple months ago and was told it might be a couple months due to the agency having to deal with cases transferred from another agency that was shut down. Now she says maybe in May.
Damn.

I'm so sorry. I hope that they start accepting applications sooner rather than later. Will they give you priority since you've adopted through them already?

I'm sorry to hear that. It sucks that so many other people have control in our having a family. We are in the process of figuring out if we want to do another adoption. If we do, we were thinking we would want to get it rolling this summer. We'll see! I hope your agency is taking applications soon.

ReplyDeleteOPur agency isn't accepting new applications either. Not that we're quite ready to jump back in (i.e. I'm ready but haven't yet convinved hubby) but it's still a major bummer. I hope things open up for you all soon!
