I heard the broadcast of this article on the way home from work today, and I found it refreshingly devoid of the inflammatory statements that I've read in other media sources. Do you feel the same way?
What's interesting, is that even though I didn't do IVF, I certainly would have gone for two embryos if I had. I hadn't ever had a hint of a BFP in any of the acupuncture or IUI's. If a doctor had mentioned, "well, one embryo would be such and such chance and two embryos would be some amount of chance close to one embryo", I totally would bet on two. Besides, so many people have twins that you almost don't even think about it being a problem. I'll bet it takes a long time to get our heads wrapped around one embryo transfer being the same odds of pregnancy as two.
p.s. No mini-vacation as of yet. S really didn't feel it, and my friend who has a new boyfriend (eek, can't wait for details!) is super busy, and it's not going to work out this time.
