What is a Murder Mystery Dinner Like Anyway?

Because we didn't see it.  We had a good plan to meet at our friends' house, have a couple of cocktails and then head over to the playhouse.  Everything was going swimmingly until we got to the playhouse, the room was hot and our friend's husband who was quite tipsy decided to go out for some air.  About an hour after he was nowhere to be found (and didn't have his cell phone with him) his wife called the police.  Turns out he decided to walk home and sort of forgot to tell, oh I don't know, anyone.  I would've loved to see the police give a grown man that lecture.

Yep, that was fun.

S and I were able to eat dinner but missed everything else, left early, picked up our friend after she determined her hubby was in no real danger to anyone but the toilet, and rang in the new year with her at a bar near their house.

  1. Ha! omigosh. It's funny, but not funny, you know? Oh, and I have no idea about a murder mystery dinner, I've never been to one!

  2. Holy crap, that's pretty damn funny!! I would have loved to be a fly on the window of that patrol car! Heh heh heh.

The one murder mystery I went to was pretty comical. Lots of men dressed up as men dressed as women. Yea, you read that right. Are they all funny? I don't know. All I know is that our friend got a little too fresh with a man dressed as a man dressed as a woman.
